Salary: $36-38 per hour

The Ridge Ohio is currently looking for a full-time substance abuse counselor for our outpatient program who is passionate about helping people maintain Recovery for Life.

Required Licensure:

Master's degree required, needs LICDC or LPC/LICDC or LPCC/LICDC or LPPC-S or LICDC-CS or LPCC-S//LICDC-CS. Or LISW/LICDC combos.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Interviews clients, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to evaluate
  condition of client
• Formulates program for treatment and rehabilitation of client
• Counsels clients
  individually and in group sessions to assist clients in overcoming
  alcohol and drug dependency
• Counsels family members to assist family in dealing with and providing support for
  client
• Refers client to other support services as needed, such as medical evaluation and
  treatment, social services, and employment services
• Monitors condition of client to evaluate success of therapy and adapts treatment as
  needed
• Prepares and maintains reports and case histories
  while managing outpatient census in
  electronic
  medical record
• Formulates and conducts programs to promote prevention of alcohol and drug
  dependency using established curriculum
• Completes
  appropriate documentation in a timely manner using current methods whether
  manual or electronic
