  • Maintain and troubleshoot mammalian and/or bacterial cell cultures, following sterile techniques and ensuring cell line viability and quality.
  • Perform protein expression and purification tasks, including the use of chromatography, filtration, and centrifugation techniques.
  • Prepare buffers, reagents, and media required for assays and cell culture work.
  • Analyze experimental data, maintain accurate lab records, and present findings in team meetings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to support the design, implementation, and optimization of research protocols.
  • Contribute to lab maintenance, including ordering supplies, organizing samples, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Experience : 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a research setting, preferably within a biotech or life sciences startup.
  • Technical Skills :
    • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, cloning, and gel electrophoresis.
    • Experience with mammalian and/or bacterial cell culture, including cell line maintenance, transfection, and viability assays.
    • Knowledge of protein purification techniques (e.g., affinity, ion-exchange, size-exclusion chromatography) and experience using related equipment (e.g., AKTA).
    • Familiarity with assay development, including ELISA, reporter assays, and fluorescence-based assays.
  • Computer Skills : Proficient in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, GraphPad Prism) and able to use standard lab information management systems.
  • Soft Skills : Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
