(GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.   The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS). Responsibilities The Assistant Environmental Engineer is supporting our client NYS Office of General Services (OGS) and the DEC project team.   This role provides Engineering services including; consultation, evaluation, planning, systems design, engineering surveys, or project oversight in order to ensure work conforms to accepted engineering standards. The Assistant Environmental Engineer may supervise and evaluate the work of technicians in projects within their engineering specialty.   Examples include, but are not limited to: the construction, extension, alteration, remodeling, and maintenance of roads, buildings, public and private water and sewer systems, public health regulation and monitoring of water systems, and large structures including major roads, environmental remediation systems, dams, floodwalls and bridges. Qualifications Ability to manage multiple projects Ability to manage various projects using established controls and procedures Experience coordinating with multiple trades One year of full-time engineering experience in the environmental design and construction projects. Qualifying Degrees: Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Engineering Technology, Environmental Design Engineering, Environmental Resources Engineering, Environmental Systems Engineering, Forest Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Sanitary Engineering, Soil and Water Resources Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or Engineering Science with a recognized concentration in any of the above listed engineering degrees.   We are committed to your success, and we invest in your growth and development to unlock your full potential.
